Firebirds Wood Fired Grill plans to open on October 30
DALLAS, Texas – Oct. 16, 2023 – Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, the award-winning American restaurant and steakhouse, today announced that it plans to open in Plano on Monday, October 30. The restaurant, which is known for preparing its seasoned, hand-cut aged steaks, fresh seafood and more over an open flame, is located at 5400 State Hwy 121. Firebirds, which opened its first DFW restaurant in Alliance in 2022, will employ about 100 people in Plano.
“When we opened our first Firebirds restaurant in DFW, we couldn’t have imagined the outpouring of support from the community, which has welcomed us with open arms,” said Brandon Emmons, General Manager. “My team and I are thrilled to introduce Firebirds’ elevated experience and local wood-fired flavors to our new neighbors here in Plano.”
Firebirds takes pride in its scratch kitchen, offering bold flavors and hand-cut, aged steaks and fresh seafood, which are cooked over an open flame visible from the restaurant’s dining room. The new restaurant in Plano will offer staples from its extensive lunch, dinner and weekend brunch menus and will feature the concept’s striking FIREBAR®. This restaurant centerpiece offers Bar Bite features on weekdays from 4 to 7 p.m., along with a full liquor bar and Firebirds’ signature martini, the Double Black Diamond® Martini, which is a masterful infusion of fresh pineapple and New Amsterdam® Pineapple Vodka, garnished with a juicy fresh pineapple slice.
Firebirds will host a private pre-opening event and fundraiser for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation – the restaurant company’s national charity partner – to aid in the fight against childhood cancer. In addition to raising funds pre-opening and hosting other events throughout the year, for every Alex’s Lemonade purchased in every Firebirds restaurant, $1.25 is donated to the foundation. To date, the concept has raised about $3.5 million to fund impactful research, raise awareness and empower communities to help cure childhood cancer.

Firebirds in Plano will be open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
